Katy and Nick joined me for a quick engagement mini session at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Florida. These two were such a cute couple to photograph, and we kept their session simple and sweet. Walking hand in hand, sharing kisses, and adding a playful dip gave us a lovely mix of photographs in a short amount of time.

A Sweet Engagement Mini Session

Katy wore a white sundress with white sandals, and Nick wore a light striped shirt with neutral pants and sneakers. Their outfits complemented the greenery while keeping the attention on their faces and expressions. It is a pretty combination for outdoor engagement photos, especially if you like light colors and a relaxed look.

Their photographs include Nick wrapping his arms around Katy, the two smiling at each other, and walking together along the grassy path. We also captured a closer detail of Katy’s engagement ring. I like including that variety even in a shorter session, from full-length portraits to the little details that celebrate being engaged.

Engagement Photos at Lake Louisa State Park

The greenery, pine trees, and sunlit grasses at Lake Louisa State Park gave their portraits a natural backdrop. One of my favorite photographs places the delicate grasses in focus, with Katy and Nick embracing softly blurred behind them. Their black-and-white walking photos bring a different feel to the gallery while keeping that same easy connection between them.

Keeping a Mini Session Simple

I rarely offer engagement mini sessions, but when I do, they are usually simple, sweet sessions at Lake Louisa because I live nearby. Katy and Nick’s photos show how one outfit and a single setting can still give you a mix of playful portraits, close embraces, and ring details.
