One of the best parts of being a photographer is getting to follow along on life’s most meaningful journeys. I had the absolute joy of reconnecting with one of my past wedding couples, Alexandra and Jay, when they reached out to share their exciting news—they’re expecting! It’s always incredibly special when my couples come back to me for life’s next chapter, and this one felt especially full-circle.

As we discussed location ideas for their maternity session, we landed on something that felt just right—revisiting the place where they said “I do”: Sterling Event Venue in Minneola, Florida. This venue holds so many memories for them, and photographing their maternity portraits here added a whole new layer of emotion and beauty to an already meaningful spot. We even got to re-create a few of their wedding images—but this time, with a baby bump in tow!

From its beautiful stone exterior and grand wooden doors to the sweeping oak trees and golden sunset light, it’s a dream backdrop for both weddings and portraits. The setting is warm, romantic, and timeless—perfect for capturing milestone moments like this.
